The short version
You can use Samurai Zen without an account; then your practice history stays on your iPhone. If you sign in, we store what is needed to sync your practice across devices, and nothing more. No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
Without an account
As a guest, your streak, minutes, sessions and settings are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's private storage. Nothing about your practice is sent to us.
The app still connects to our server to fetch the library: the list of practices, cover images, texts and audio. These requests carry no personal data. It also asks RevenueCat, our subscription provider, whether you have Samurai Zen Pro, using a random ID that is not tied to you.
If you sign in
Signing in is optional and only needed to sync your practice across devices. You can sign in with Apple or with a sign-in link sent to your email.

If you choose Hide My Email with Sign in with Apple, we only receive Apple's private relay address.
When you are signed in, your subscription status at RevenueCat is linked to your account's user ID, so Pro follows you to another device. RevenueCat never receives your name, email or practice history.
We do not record audio and do not use your microphone, camera, contacts, photos or location.
Apple Health
If you turn on Apple Health in Profile, the app writes each finished practice to Health as mindful minutes. It asks for write access only: it cannot read any health data and never does. This stays between the app and Health on your iPhone and is never sent to us. Turn it off in Profile, or revoke access in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.
Reminders and the widget
Practice reminders are local notifications scheduled by your iPhone. There is no push server and we collect no device token; if you never turn reminders on, no permission is asked. The widget reads your streak from the app's storage on the same iPhone.
Purchases
Samurai Zen Pro is sold through the App Store and Apple handles payment: we never see your payment details or Apple Account. Purchase records (which plan, when, and the ID described above) are processed by RevenueCat to manage subscriptions.
What we do not collect
- No analytics or usage tracking of any kind
- No advertising identifiers, no ad networks
- No third-party trackers
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking

Like any web service, these providers process technical information such as IP addresses and request times to serve requests and prevent abuse. We do not analyse or profile it. They may process data outside your country, under their own safeguards.
The meditations are narrated with a synthesised voice that is produced before release and served as ordinary audio files. Nothing from you is ever sent to a voice provider.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your account, profile, preferences and practice sessions are removed from our database immediately and permanently. Purchase records are kept by RevenueCat for as long as needed to manage subscriptions, under its privacy policy. Data on your iPhone stays until you reset it or delete the app.
Your rights
- Delete your account: Profile › Delete Account, inside the app. It deletes your account and every record attached to it, and resets the practice data on that iPhone. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
- Get a copy of your data, correct it, or ask a question: email gokhan17arslan@gmail.com; we respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under GDPR or KVKK, including access, correction, restriction and objection. The contact address above is the way to exercise them.
Children
Samurai Zen is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell you inside the app.
